Where Seams Usually Fall in Common Kitchen Layouts

Slabs come in fixed sizes, so long runs need joints. Placing them well makes them hard to notice.

L-Shaped Kitchens

Usually one seam near the corner, where the two runs meet, away from the sink.

U-Shaped Kitchens

Often one seam at each corner, keeping the sink run in a single piece when possible.

Do you disconnect and reconnect the sink and dishwasher?

What is the best countertop material for a busy kitchen?

Quartz is the easiest to maintain and is our best seller. Granite and quartzite are very hard natural stones that handle daily cooking well. Compare them on our countertop materials page.

Will my kitchen countertops have seams?

Long or L-shaped runs usually need at least one seam because slabs come in fixed sizes. We show you where each seam will fall before we cut.

Which edge profiles can I choose?

A flat polished edge is included. You can also choose half bullnose, full bullnose, 1/4 bevel, 1/2 bevel, chiseled or ogee, quoted separately.

Do you install the kitchen sink?

Yes. Installing the kitchen sink into your new countertop is included in the price. Connecting the water is done by your plumber.

How much is the deposit?

We ask for 50% to start and 50% when your countertops are installed. You never pay the full amount upfront.
